The water is boiling in the kettle… Agafya, the last one from the Lykovs family, is carefully taking some Ivan-tea leaves, meadowsweet flowers, black currants and oregano out of a birch bark box. She is adding dry herbs and leaves into the boiling water and is stirring the tea with a pine tree twig. The Siberian anchoress lives alone far away from the civilization. She sees her solitude as the best way to save her soul and body. Bring water to the boil and let it cool, then add 1-2 teaspoonfuls of Agafya Tea per cup of boiling water, cover with a warm towel to keep it warm, wait for 10-15 minutes then pour into cups. The herbal tea will soothe your soul, bring peace to your mind and help you forget about hustle and bustle of the everyday life.
