Wild forest cowberries are ripe by the end of August, beginning of September. Frozen cowberries are the best remedies for colds as they can treat fever and enhance immune system. Thanks to its sour taste and bright colours it is considered to be the most impressive berry of a Siberian taiga. Bright-red jam with its sour-sweet taste is a real pleasure to look at.
To collect and process cowberries is not that easy at all. That’s why we don’t trust anyone else to do it. We ourselves collected berries at the end of August and cooked it with love adding necessary amount of sugar not bringing it to the boil.
